Today it was announced that Roc Nation artist J. Cole will be performing at the 2011 KnowledgeFest in Dallas, Texas. The North Carolina native will perform on Monday August 29 at the Glass Cactus nightclub.
Roc Nation’s parent label, Sony, is one of KnowledgeFest’s sponsors this year, along with electronics companies such as Pioneer and Sirius XM Radio. For more information on the event, visit Knowledgefest.org.
Earlier today, it was revealed that J. Cole no longer plans to release a mixtape in promotion of his upcoming debut album.

UPDATE: It has been announced that another Sony Music act, Battery/Jive Records’ Mickey Factz, will be performing. J. Cole, whose debut album is planned for release next month. Factz, a native of Bronx, New York and DXnext alum, is also at work on his debut.
