They’ve been sampled by everyone from Eric B. and Rakim to the Ultramagnetic MC’s to Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth. Now, the legendary soul group the Skull Snaps are gearing up for a triple-threat of a re-release of their seminal self-titled album.

Retro label Get On Down Records is now planning to re-release the Skull Snaps’s 1973 debut on double LP and CD this July 26. The vinyl release will come with a 24” x 24” poster of the original album art and a packet of 13 die cut stickers.

This latest release comes on the heels of the purple 7” of the Skull Snaps’s “It’s A New Day” and “I Turn My Back On Love” that dropped earlier this April.
