Nearly a year ago this day, DJ Khaled announced that he was hoping to record with one of rap’s biggest stars, Eminem.

While that dream has yet to materialize, Khaled believes that it is a real possibility.

“I wanted Eminem,” said Khaled in an interview with Hot 97’s Angie Martinez. “I really want to make it happen, I think it’s gon’ happen.”

Shady, who is known for having a precious few allegiances outside of the Shady/Aftermath family (among them Jay-Z, Lil Wayne and T.I.), has not been easy to get a hold of, according to the Terror Squad deejay.

“I never really sat down and talked to him,” he explained. “I’m a fan of him and I’m cool with him, but he doesn’t know me like that. I really don’t know what route to get him.”

Khaled added that he has a track picked for the master lyricist. “Ya’ll A&R That.”
