Even though it’s taken him longer than he expected to release his The R.E.D. Album, Game has been keeping his fans in no short supply of new music this year. Now, Game is teaming up with producer Mars of 1500 Or Nothin’ to release his third mixtape of 2011.
Last night, Game took to Twitter to announce that he and Mars would join forces for a new mixtape, slated to be released before his long-awaited The R.E.D. Album‘s August 23 release date. Then, earlier today, Mars followed suit, revealing that the tape, titled Hood Mornin’, will hit the Internet on August 1.

Over the past few years, Game has worked extensively with 1500 Or Nothin’, most notably on “Dope Boys” and “Touchdown” off 2008’s L.A.X.. Mars is also acting as co-executive producer for The R.E.D. Album.
This past January, Game dropped his double-disc Purp & Patron mixtape to much critical acclaim. He followed up the project with The Hangover, a ten-track tape comprised of b-sides from Purp & Patron.

true, if you’re gonna drop a mixtape make sure they’re good ‘Redroom’ and ‘Brakelights’ were good , #’purp and patron’ was shit except one or two tracks.
game’s singles i.e. red nation and pot of gold are yet to really catch fire though they,especially the latter,have the potential to.but til’ then he is using mixtapes to serve the purpose of singles which is a very smart idea considering that he has a lot of good material recorded judging from purp and patron.

If he’s laced those mixtapes with those few tracks that were album material I would expect a dope album. But, he don’t seem wise enough to spit rhymes anymore. He’s been sounding spit out, and since there was hardly any anticipation given after so many mixtapes I think he’s done for.
