During the late 1990’s and early 2000’s, Philadelphia collective Sate Property was one of Hip Hop’s most indomitable acts. Featuring members Beanie Sigel, Freeway, Peedi Peedi, Omilio Sparks, the Young Gunz and Oschino, the crew conquered music with a string of solid hits and two successful movies named after their group. Now, State Prop is set to reunite on stage for the first time in a number of years.

According to a recent article from AllHipHop, the former Roc-A-Fella group will be reuniting tonight July 2 at Summerfest 2011 in Atlantic City. Beanie Sigel spoke to The Press of Atlantic City about working with his Philly brethren and hinted that fans will be hearing more from the group in the near future.

“We’re in agreement on this,” said Beans. “Everybody wanted to do their solo thing and spread their wings and stand out on their own. Now it’s just time.”

He also added, “[The other members] have changed and it’s puzzling to me. They got better. I think Peedi Crakk is a megastar. Chris from the Young Gunz is a megastar. They grew.”

State Prop’s members aren’t the only Philly natives that will grace the Summerfest Stage tonight. Maybach Music Group signee and Philadelphia representative Meek Mill will join Rick Ross in headlining the event.

State Property has released two full albums together as a group. Their last LP, The Chain Gang Vol. 2, was released in 2003 on Roc-A-Fella Records.
