Pusha T is currently recording for his G.O.O.D. Music debut, but he explains that the process hasn’t been easy. Speaking with Beats By Dre, the Clipse member spoke on how demanding Kanye West and his G.O.O.D. family can be.

“G.O.O.D. Music got the whips out, you under the gun. Like, ‘Get this right. You gon’ do this 90 times and it’s gon’ be right before we put it out,’” he said. “You think you wrote a masterpiece, and he’s like, oh, you can come a little harder than that.”

His recording process with Clipse partner and brother Malice is a little easier. “It’s a totally different process. Me and my brother, it’s like a no pressure game. It’s like, OK, we have beats, we’re both going to take our time and write four bars and we call each other and be like, ‘This is what I said,’ and he’ll be like, ‘Nah, this is what I said.’ Let me get another two bars together and get this right. It’s a whole little back and forth, just listening to each other process.”

The Virginia Beach, Virginia native noted that Common is the only G.O.O.D. Music member with which he hasn’t recorded, but revealed a high profile collaboration with Kanye and Jeezy for his upcoming Fear of God 2 mixtape, as well as a track with Tyler, The Creator and another with Tyler and Hodgy Beats. He also explained that he wouldn’t make it on Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne, but that he promises it’s going to be worth the wait.

“I’m not going to make the Watch the Throne album. I haven’t been summoned for that. I wish I was. But I have heard it, and Watch the Throne is going to be a gem. I think people are going to be really happy with it.”
