New York emcee Jean Grae has teamed with DJ Drama for mixtape, Cookies & Comas. The onetime member of Natural Resource will release the project at 12pm EST on June 23 digitally, as a free project with the Gangsta Grillz leader. The work features Royce Da 5’9, Styles P, Pharoahe Monch and Grae’s longtime Blacksmith Music backer, Talib Kweli.
The project is a set-up for Cake Or Death, Grae’s first album in over three years, which will be released through Blacksmith/EMI Records.
Today, she released “Caskebasket,” a Boogie Blind-produced song from Cookies & Comas.
