Supporters of the Hieroglyphics will be pleased to hear that Casual is back with another album, The Hierophant, a collaborative project with DJ Toure. In addition, this project will be released to help fund a film by Casual titled He STILL Think He Raw and fans can expect another album to accompany the flick. Casual recently issued a press release to speak on the album title and his other upcoming work.
“A Hierophant is a person who deciphers arcane knowledge,” he explained. “I’m releasing this album to help fund my movie He STILL Think He Raw. Please support. With this, as well as my other albums -I attempt to make classics.”
Pep Love and Souls of Mischief’s Tajai will be featured on this album. Thomas Pridgen, a former member of The Mars Volta, will also be featured on The Hierophant, which will be digitally released on June 21, 2011. Fans who cannot wait can currently listen to the entire album on Casual’s BandCamp page.
Aside from all of this, Casual is currently working onThe Return of the Backpack, a joint project with Jake One.
