Currently gearing up to hit the road on Rihanna’s “LOUD” summer tour, B.o.B is beginning work on his sophomore album. The “Airplanes” rapper recently spoke on how he is “in my groove” as he prepares to record the follow-up to last year’s “B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray.

“I’m really excited about this one,” he told MLive.com. “You’re always excited about every project. But I really feel like I’m in my groove with this one. I’m more aware of myself as an instrument, as a sound. It’s more intentful.”

As for when he plans on releasing the LP, he is unsure, though he’s taking a backseat approach on how he’d like his year to unfold. “I don’t know yet,” he said. “I always have a blueprint in my head for how things should be, but they never pan out. I’ve become more observant and I just watch.”

Producer Jim Jonsin previously spoke on the sophomore album, revealing that Bobby Ray isn’t collaborating as much. “I don’t think he’s doing as many features,” he said. “I think most of his singles will be him and he just wants the fans to hear a lot more of him on this album. It’s gonna be incredible.”
