The lineup for the 7th annual Afro-Punk Festival has been announced. The event, slated to take place on August 27-28 at Brooklyn, New York’s Commodore Barry Park, is set to include performances from Jay Electronica, Cee Lo Green, Janelle Monae, Santigold, Fishbone, Toro Y Moi, Toshi Reagon, Ninjasonik, Cerebral Ballzy, Gordon Voidwell, Reggie Watts, Res, Joi, Rocky Business, Straight Line Stitch and more.
The 2011 event will also include the first annual Afro-Punk Bites and Beats Food Truck Festival, where more than 20 vendors will swarm on the scene to offer different cuisines.
The NikeBattle For The Streets Skate and BMX Competition, the largest street skate and BMX competition in New York City, will return to the festival this year. Professional BMX rider Nigel Sylvester is scheduled to serve alongside other top athletes on the judging panel.
The Afro-Punk Festival will also feature a custom bike show, a collaboration between Harley-Davidson and Denim and Chrome.
