One of the left coast’s most celebrated emcees, Ras Kass, recently sat down to speak about several topics. During an interview with 210West, the Goldyn Chyld spoke on his new projects including a new solo effort titled F.I.L.A. and one with the HRSMN (a/k/a the 4 Horsemen), a group he has with Kurupt, Killah Priest and Canibus. Beyond this, Ras Kass opened up about the relationship the Horsemen have with Slaughterhouse and how they had to “take inventory” and decide they would move forward without beef.

If nothing else, Ras Kass has remained busy. After releasing the fan backed A.D.I.D.A.S. through a Kickstarter campaign, he has decided to continue with a shoe company theme. The theme is said to continue with the next project, ending the trilogy with a motto for how he feels his life story has been.

“I’m working on my new project. It was supposed to be called A.D.I.D.A.S. 2.0 but we switched it. Now, it’s going to be called F.I.L.A. (Fuck It, Lose It All). It’s kind of my life story. All Day I Dream About Spitting, then Fuck It, Lose It All, and then the third part is called Now I Know Everything (N.I.K.E.).

When asked about the HRSMN, Ras Kass instantly began talking about the alleged feud between them and Slaughterhouse, another group made up from 4 different emcees. The feud was given some fuel via Twitter and it even lent itself to a Canibus diss track

“It’s a beautiful thing. Honestly, I would say we’re about 60 percent done with the HRSMN,” he said when asked about the group. “The HRSMN are intact. There’s nothing but love for everybody else. Some things are dirty laundry. I was always taught not to air my dirty laundry. Unfortunately, Twitter and Facebook are ways where laundry that shouldn’t be [where this] gets aired. But then we gotta close house and deal with this dirty laundry.”

“HRSMN are HRSMN. Slaughterhouse is Slaughterhouse,” he continued. “There’s a lot of interconnected family. There’s nothing but love. There was some things where people see things and it’s a non issue. I won’t address it anymore past that. There is family and we are going to continue to respect each other as family.”

Going back to their Twitter feud, Ras explained that they want to continue moving forward without any problems with other emcees.

“We full speed ahead. Sometimes, we’ve got to sit back and analyze what’s going on because people like drama. They want something against something…I can have love for my nigga but sometimes these social media things can create things that don’t really exist and sometimes you can get wrapped up in it.”

“The Horsemen, we had to go take some inventory, sit in a house and say, ‘Hey, man, what’s going on? Let’s be right about shit. We goin’ to work and just make sure we doin’ what we’re supposed to be doin’, never disrespecting. We don’t want to be disrespectful to anybody and I don’t think anybody wants to be disrespectful to us.’ There’s room for everybody out here. We’re all talented. Much success to everybody. We gettin’ ours together and it’s coming out incredible.”
