On Thursday (May 19) night, B.o.B. was among several performers at Washington, D.C.’s 95.5. FM WPGC’s annual Birthday Bash at the 9:30 club.

After the show, rumors spread that B.o.B. refused to perform while D.C. native Wale was in the building. Speaking to XXLMag.com, Brian “B” Rich, B.o.B.’s manager, explained the situation.

According to B. Rich, the rumors were fueled by WPGC radio personality Sunni’s tweet that B.o.B. refused to take the stage until Wale left the building. “As a manager I didn’t want Bob to go on after Wale in his hometown at the birthday bash,” he explained. “There’s no beef, that’s our nigga, we wanted to bring him out during our set. Bob has no idea what’s going on. He don’t mind going on after or before anybody, this is a decision I made [as a manager].”
