Speculation continues to grow regarding the potential exit of Universal Motown’s President Sylvia Rhone. After more than six years at the label, it is being reported that she may leave the company this Friday (May 20).

Rhone, who introduced audiences to artists like Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Kid Cudi, still has a year left on her contract with Universal Motown and may still work under the label in some capacity. More information will surface in the upcoming week.

In other news, The Village Voice recently listed some memorable Hip Hop cover songs. Def Squad (which consisted of Redman, Erick Sermon, and Keith Murray) made the list with “Rapper’s Delight,” a cover of the 1979 Sugarhill Gang cut of the same name.

QB’s Finest also made the list with the track “Da Bridge 2001.” The song included some big names including Nas, Mobb Dep, Capone, Cormega, Nature, MC Shan, Tragedy Khadafi, and Millennium Thug.
