After generating $115 million plus at the box office, “8 Mile” is coming to DVD. Universal announced the release of the DVD on March 18th a few weeks ago and have now announced the specs of the disk.
The DVD will retail for $26.98 (US) and will come in anamorphic (2.35:1) widescreen and full screen video format with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. The bonus features will include five battles shot during the making of the movie that were edited out. This feature also comes with a censoring option for younger viewers.
In addition, there will be an exclusive video for “Superman,” which is of course from his multi-platinum album, “The Eminem Show.” There is also a “Making of 8 Mile” bonus feature that will take a behind the scenes look at the making of the movie.
