Def Jam artist and G.O.O.D. Music member Big Sean is taking part in a Q&A at the Los Angeles campus of the SAE Music Institute Wednesday, May 11. The Santa Monica turned Detroit native will share his knowledge of the music industry with the top inner-city students and spend hands-on time in the studio fielding questions and checking out unsigned submissions from students on SAE’s state-of-the-art equipment.

According to representatives from SAE, “the students will have a unique learning opportunity as they will be bringing in their own written music/lyrics and recordings for Big Sean to listen to and provide feedback.”

In past interviews, Sean said that interacting with signed artists while seeking his deal was an integral part of getting signed and aligning with Kanye West. Big Sean reportedly spit nearly 20 minutes of continuous freestyle rhymes for West during an impromptu meeting at a radio station. More information about Sean’s SAE Institute session is available at the SAE Institute website.
