Black Rob Reveals Tracklist, Cover For “Game Tested, Street Approved”

In October, HipHopDX reported that Black Rob became the latest signee to Duck Down Music, a deal that allowed him to work on his new album, Game Tested, Street Approved. Recently, Black Rob premiered his latest single and announced the album’s release date during an appearance on Kay Slay’s Shade 45 show.

Black Rob’s latest single will be titled “Can’t Make it in New York.” The song is produced by O.Z.10037. This is the first single off of Game Tested, Street Approved, a 14 track album set to be released in late July. The disc is said to feature production from Black Rob, who will be handling the emceeing and production duties while other producers also add their instrumentals including Buckwild and Coptic.

Black Rob is presently best known for his mainstream success with “Whoa,” a song that was released in 2000 while Rob was still a member of Bad Boy Entertainment. The former Bad Boy artist released two albums with the label, 2000’s Life Story and 2005’s The Black Rob Report.

Fans can expect Game Tested, Street Approved to be released on July 26 through Duck Down Music. Below is a November 2010 video of Black Rob making his Duck Down debut, announcing that he “couldn’t be in a better place.”

A spokesperson for Black Rob confirmed that the Harlem, New York emcee and Bad Boy Records founder Sean “Diddy” Combs reunited at Hammerstein Ballroom several weeks ago for a lengthy performance. This came after Rob had told the media that Diddy “left him for dead” after the success of Life Story and “Whoa.”
