4/20 may have been on Wednesday of this week, but that isn’t keep smokers from rolling that shit, lighting that shit and smoking that shit. Now, TMZ is reporting that the legendary DJ Quik smoked up a local Los Angeles weed dispensary during the release party for his latest LP The Book of David. In other news, the Roots took to the booth to celebrate the “other” green: the environment. As a part of NBC Universal’s “Green is Universal” campaign, the famous Philly crew recorded a song and shot a video celebrating Earth Day today. The song, in addition a number of other celebrity testimonials, can be viewed at NBC’s website.
