Bay Area rapper Berner is preparing the realese of his fourth solo LP The White Album via SMC Recordings. Due out this April 19, the album boasts features from Killer Mike, Wiz Khalifa, Big K.R.I.T., Smoke Dza and production from Corey Mo, Big K.R.I.T. and more
Berner will also be appearing a number of venues to support the album’s release. On April 19, Berner will be appearing at Dimple in Sacramento at 5 pm PST, and then on April 21 at FYE in San Jose, CA at 5 pm PST.

In other news, the 25th annual JazzReggae Festival has announced its line-up for their annual summer festival this year. Now, the festival is debuting its first-ever JazzReggae 25 Revue with like Talib Kweli Pharoahe Monch, and more.
The Jazz Regga 25 Revue will find a number of artists, including Talib Kweli, Bilal, Pharoahe Monch, Me’Shell Ndegéocello, Quadron, Karriem Riggins and others, sharing the stage with the 12-piece Miguel Atwood-Ferguson Ensemble. Ferguson had previously conducted the Suite for Ma Dukes, a musical tribute to the legendary producer J Dilla.
The JazzReggae Festival is also set to feature sets from headliners Lupe Fiasco and Sean Paul, as well as a host of reggae and jazz groups. The festival will be held at the UCLA Intramural Field this May 29 and 30. Ticketing information can be found at their website.
Finally, Ludacris has teamed up with Better World Books and DoSomething.org to launch the Epic Book Drive, which help provide books to the Recovery School District in New Orleans. Luda will serve as spokesperson for the drive and will appear in a number of PSA’s.
