Shady Records latest signee’s, Alabama rapper Yelawolf and Hip Hop mega-group Slaughterhouse, are all hard at work completing their debut albums on the label. Yelawolf revealed that his album Trunk Muzik 0-60 is pretty much complete aside from a few touches here and there while Slaughterhouse are a few songs in with their album.

Yelawolf explained to Billboard.com that while he’s almost finished with his album he expects Shady Records leading man Eminem to help with production on the album and a few touch ups.

“I was sitting with him [Eminem] and was like, ‘Hey man, I did an album.’ ‘You did an album? I want to hear it.’ The next day we got up in the studio and he was hyped, man,” Yelawolf explained. “But of course we’re going to get back in the studio and he’s gonna produce some stuff, touch some stuff up.”

According to Yelawolf fans can expect a “more organic” sound with Trunk Muzik 0-60.

“It’s still raw in a way and still keeping the core there, but it’s less regional and more worldwide sounding. It just feels bigger,” said Yelawolf, speaking on the album.

And at the other end of Shady Records while Slaughterhouse consists of four members each from different parts of the country Slaughterhouse’s Royce Da 5’9″ revealed that recording isn’t as hard a process as it may seem.

“Eventually we’ll get together in a central location and just vibe together with [Eminem] in the studio,” Royce explained. “It’s not as hard as you think it would be; everybody is pretty busy but the guys in the group are real good about putting stuff to the side and making the group first. We all can agree this is the most important thing in our careers.”

As far as the progress of Slaughterhouse’s album Royce merely stated that the album is “coming along.”
