Yung Berg is out promoting his new mixtape Mr. Ward. In addition to hitting up countless radio programs, Berg has also released a video series called “Road To Humble Greatness” that gives insight into his Hip Hop journey. Pleasure P, Ray J, Lil Scrappy, Roscoe Dash, Diamond, and others will feature on the mixtape, something that Berg says he is grateful for.
“It’s just a blessing, to be able to not even know somebody, to not even meet them personally [but to] get the music and fall in love with the music. And to say I’m going to take a chance on this person regardless of what people feel or me not knowing [that person] from a can of paint. The music feels right.”
The mixtape drops on March 17.
In other album news, Three 6 Mafia‘s Juicy J said the Rap group would be releasing a new album they’ve already recorded a significant number of songs for. “We’ve been doing so much work on this album that I can’t even say when it’s dropping,” he explained. The album will be called Laws of Power. “We’ve recorded over 75 songs. We will release something hopefully this summer. But it will be this year.”

Juicy J recently featured on the remix to Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow” with Snoop Dogg and T-Pain, which J called “a blessing.”
Also releasing an album is South By Southwest, the Austin, Texas music festival showcasing thousands of musical acts from around the world. The free mixtape includes 21 tracks with cuts from Talib Kweli, Miguel, and Dom Kennedy among others. The festival takes place from March 11-20 and the SXSW album is now available on iTunes.
