A-Trak is preparing to hit the road on his Magic 8-Ball Tour. The storied producer and DJ to Kanye West will be backed by frequent collaborator Kid Sister, producer the Gaslamp Killer and a series of special to-be-announced special guests.

Following his performance this April 17 at Coachella with Duck Sauce partner Armand Van Heldan, A-Trak and company will hit a number of major venues across the states throughout April and May. The complete list of the Magic 8-Ball Tour dates can be found below.

In other news, Travis Barker has teamed up with Guitar Center for a new contest aimed at aspiring musicians. Titled “Your Next Record,” the contest will give musicians the chance to pick up thousands of dollars worth of musical equipment and to record with the legendary producer and drummer.

Staring April 30, “Your Next Record” offers unsigned entrants from across a variety of genres the opportunity to submit their music for the chance to win the chance to record a three-song EP produced by and featuring Barker, distribution through TuneCore and $10,000 worth of music equipment from Guitar Center.

Finally, iPhone has introduced a new app just for the crate diggers. The app iCrates will afford record collectors the chance to find out information about certain records with just the click of a button.

According to iCrates’s website, the app gives crate diggers “instant access to the biggest music databases and marketplaces such as Discogs, eBay, Amazon and iTunes…[to] find detailed information on releases, artists and labels while searching for music in record stores or on flea markets.” iCrates also features a variety of additional features, including barcode scanner, record rarity, average selling prices among other things.
