Brooklyn, New York veteran emcee Foxy Brown has been in headlines recently for antics more than music. The former Firm member last released Brooklyn’s Don Divain 2008, but revealed this week that she is planning to release Hip Hop’s first double-album from a female emcee.
Foxy revealed to Billboard.com that she still has plans to release Black Roses, an album that she began publicizing over three years ago. “I’m in the studio every night, slaving,” said the onetime Def Jam Records star. “It’s going to be really big. One side is going to be straight Hip Hop and hardcore records, and a couple big radio joints, and then the other side is Dancehall-Rock.”
Earlier this week, Foxy disputed published reports that she was escorted from a club during New York’s Fashion Week.
