Earlier this week, Watts, California emcee Jay Rock confirmed meeting Dr. Dre in the studio. The DXnext alum recently signed to Strange Music after a lengthy, but album-less tenure at Warner Brothers Records. HipHopDX asked the Top Dawg Entertainment sensation what transpired with him and the Chronic icon.
“Working with [Dr.] Dre on Detox was a dream come true,” Jay Rock told HipHopDX. “This a man that I’ve looked up to growing up, the stuff he did for his city through Hip Hop music is the same thing I’m tryin’ do for mine. Hopefully I can get him on my album, Follow Me Home, due out May 17th”
