Although it’s been four years since the end of “Ego Trip’s The (White) Rapper Show,” the show’s winner $hamrock has been keeping busy. The Decatur, GA emcee has linked up with Hypnotized Minds alum Lil Wyte’s WyteMusic imprint and Select-O-Hits to release his debut LP The WyteRapper $how.
Due out his March 15, The WyteRapper $how is set to feature Lil Wyte, Crime Mob and WyteMusic artist Partee. $hamrock has also enlisted a bevy of Southern hit-makers to handle his album’s production, including the likes of Luney Tunez, Ribah on the Beats, Lil Jay of Crime Mob and WyteMusic in-house beatsmiths Lil Awree and Marco Dane.
$hamrock explained that he hoped to capture his life’s triumphs and trials on this album. He also explained the joys of working with Lil Wyte and his label, saying that they have supported him to the fullest extent and understand his musical goals.

“I want people to know that this album is a product of my grind, my struggle, my success and my pain,” he said. “As an artist, I want people to understand that making great songs is about being true to yourself and telling your story. People will def hear the hustler in me, but they will also hear the knowledge that I have picked up from the game.”
He also added, “WyteMusic and Select-O-Hits are incredible because they actually watched the TV show and understand completely where I come from, and who I am trying to reach. They are working towards the vision I have, and the support has been amazing because they hustle hard and grind like artists instead of traditional labels. Not to mention, they have legendary resumes so they know what they’re talking about!”
