Fresh off his halftime performance at the Superbowl, producer and Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am is already hard at work in the studio creating music. The eclectic producer is currently working on a collaboration with pop star Britney Spears.
The collaboration between the two artists was revealed via Twitter earlier this week. The song will be featured on Spears’ upcoming album titled Femme Fatale.
“In the studio with @iamwill…you guys are gonna love this one. – Britney,” said Spears in a Tweet on Tuesday, February 8.
Femme Fatale was recently given a new release date but Dr. Luke, one of the executive producers of the album, recently shared that there is some fluidity with the album.
“We’re in the middle of it right now,” Dr. Luke explained to MTV.com. “It’s a little bit fluid right now. I can’t even say at this stage what songs for sure are making it and what songs aren’t. We’re working with a lot of producers and overseeing it with her A&R and record label and management and trying to make something cohesive.”
Over the past few years Spears has worked with a number of Hip Hop producers including The Neptunes, Danja, and The Outsyders.
Femme Fatale is currently scheduled to be released on March 29, 2011.
