mtvU announced its nominees for their 2011 Woodie Awards, and it looks like Hip Hop won’t go unrepresented. Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa, B.o.B and a number of other Hip Hop acts have earned nods at this year’s show.

Kanye West has been nominated for the Left Field Woodie award, which celebrates the “Most Original” artist of the year. ‘Ye will face stiff competition for the Woodie from other Hip Hop acts, including Yelawolf, Lil B, Das Racist and Die Antwoord.

B.o.B and Wiz Khalifa also earned Woodie Nods. The two rappers will go head-to-head with the Black Keys, Arcade Fire, and LCD Soundsystem for the Woodie of the Year Award.

In addition, the Gorillaz and DX Next alum Chiddy Bang earned Video of the Year award nods for their videos for “Stylo” and “Opposite of Adults,” respectively.

As always, it’s the fans that will decide the winners of the Woodie Award. Those looking to get in on the voting action can head to the award show’s website. Voting began earlier today and will run through March 1. The mtvU 2011 Woodie Awards will air live March 16 at midnight on MTV, MTV2 and mtvU.
