WC has been a fixture in Hip Hop for over two decades. Between his solo efforts and music he made with his groups Low Profile, WC and the Maad Circle, and Westside Connection, the latter of which was a collaboration with fellow West Coast pioneers Ice Cube and Mack 10. So with so much history in the game it comes as little surprise that WC would use his experience to establish his own imprint, Big Swang.

Big Swang will operate under a joint venture with Entertainment One Music. WC told AllHipHop.com, “It feels good to the joint venture with eOne because I get the chance to continue to do what I do best, and that’s being a street artist making records for the streets.” Entertainment One executive Shadow Stokes, a former associate of WC, is just as thrilled to rekindle their business relationship. Stokes stated, “It’s an honor and privilege to be working with WC once again! We made history together at Payday Records with Curb Servin’ and The Shadiest One. He is a true staple in the West coast hip-hop community and eOne is looking forward to making more history with WC on this new album.”

That new album, Revenge of the Barracuda, is scheduled to drop on March 8th. It will be preceded by Big Swang’s first official release, “You Know Me”, a single featuring Ice Cube and Mayday.
