Current Washington resident and West Covina, California transplant Swag has been arrested in conjunction with an Oxycontin. Swag (real name Jevon Lawson) began 2010 by premiering a Jim Jones featured single, “Swag’n” on BET’s “106 & Park.” He ended the year, after he and several others were arrested in a raid conducted by federal agents on December 16.

In January of 2010, Seattle Weekly reported Lawson inked a deal with Warner Music Group. And the rapper’s still-active MySpace page, lists him as a WMG artist and CEO of his own Paper Route Music Records imprint. In addition to the Jim Jones collaboration, Lawson worked with Kokane and booked Juvenile for a Seattle-area performance.

Now, the 37-year-old Lawson remains behind bars after a two-year investigation allegedly linked him to a massive Oxycontin trafficking ring. Using informant testimony from unsealed arrest warrants, The Everett Daily Herald reports Lawson was willing to pay upwards of $460,000 for a large quantity of prescription painkillers. In addition to the Oxycontin ring, Lawson was also indicted in July for organizing an armed robbery which brought in over $40,000.
