It’s been a long three years behind bars for Mobb Deep’s Prodigy. Now, as he nears the end of his sentence for the gun possession, the Queensbridge emcee is preparing to release his memoirs.
AllHipHop.com reports that Prodigy, who is set to finish his three year prison sentence this February, has signed a deal with Simon and Schuster to pen his autobiography, titled My Infamous Life: The Autobiography of Mobb Deep’s Prodigy. Written by Prodigy and Laura Checkoway, the book will focus on his upbringing, his work with fellow Mobb Deep member Havoc and his career leading up to his 2006 arrest.
Since his incarceration, Prodigy has released two albums, Product of the 80’s with Big Twins and Un Pacino and the sequel to his critically accalimed solo debut H.N.I.C., both of which hit shelves in 2008.
My Infamous Life: The Autobiography of Mobb Deep’s Prodigy is expected to hit book shelves April 19, 2011.
