Rappers Nicki Minaj and Wiz Khalifa are one of several musicians who topped Google’s Zeitgeist 2010 chart for the most searched people.

Wiz Khalifa clenched the number three spot while Nicki Minaj followed at number four. Cleveland rapper Kid Cudi also managed to work his way into the top 10.

“From new bills in Washington D.C. to new heroes in the World Cup, Olympics and beyond, there was no shortage of events to captivate our attention. We hope you enjoy this look back to what was on the minds of Americans throughout 2010,” reads an overview of Google’s Zeitgeist 2010 chart.

The Zeitgeist chart takes note of the number of searches performed each month as well as any significant news. For instance, the chart shows that Nicki Minaj received the highest number of search requests in September shortly after her MTV Video Music Awards performance with will.i.am.

Aside from the “People” category the Zeitgeist chart also features categories for “Sports,” “Music,” “Politics,” and “Fastest Rising Queries.”

The “Music” Zeitgeist chart also consisted of Nicki Minaj, Wiz Khalifa, and Kid Cudi but also included rapper Eminem as well. Teen singing sensation Justin Bieber was number one on both the “Music” and “People” chart.
