Supporters pleased with J. Cole’s recent release, Friday Night Lights, will be glad to hear the young Roc Nation emcee is announcing more details about his anticipated debut.

“The album could be done. If I needed to put it out next week, I would be able to,” he told Rap-Up.com. “My expectations were already super high and I think the fans’ were too, but now that the mixtape is out and the response is what it is, I kinda want to go back in and do a few more songs that are that much better, just to boost the level of the album.”

The emcee also noted that the album might be released in or around March and that he’s hoping to drop a single within the next few weeks. The single, he added, will feature a guest and Cole noted, “It’s what a lot of people been waiting on.”
