In other news, Brand Nubian emcee/producer Lord Jamar is involved with Hoodgrown magazine. The print-turned-digital media source is planning to be the first Hip Hop magazine to have an iPad App.

“Though the website has been gaining in popularity I always knew that one day we would return to our print roots.” says Hoodgrown‘s CEO, Chris English. “This app allows us to combine the best of the print and web experience in a whole new package.”

The download will be free on iTunes.

In related news, last week, Bronx, New York-based legendary producer Buckwild teamed with Tampa, Florida’s emcee/producer Celph Titled to release Nineteen Ninety Now. The album combines hard-nosed rhymes from Celph, overtop unused mid-1990s beats from the D.I.T.C. producer, who was working with O.C., Big L and Nas at the time.

It was now announced that the same label, No Sleep Recordings, will release a limited edition EP of Buckwild work. The A-side features four tracks from Nineteen Ninety Now, including a rare collaboration between D.I.T.C.’s A.G., O.C. and Diamond D, along with Brand Nubian’s Grand Puba and Sadat X.

The B-side features rare remixes from the likes of Grand Daddy I.U., Rampage, Alkaholiks, Da Bushbabees and the rare original mix of Kool G Rap and Nas’ “Fast Life” (Buckwild Remix) .

The EP retails for $40 USD, and will be limited to a production of 200. For more information, visit No Sleep Recordings’ MySpace.
