Rihanna announced on Wednesday (October 20), that she will be managed by Jay-Z, the man who transformed her into a star.

The announcement comes weeks before her fifth album, Loud, hits stores.

In a statement to the Associated Press, Rihanna said that she’s “so excited to take this next step in my career.”

In addition, the young star is launching a new company called Rihanna Entertainment, which she says will “merge all of her businesses, including music, film, fragrance fashion and book ventures.”
