2Pac’s protegese The Outlawz are preparing to release a new “mixtape EP” entitled Killuminati 2K10. The tape will be hosted by DJ Smallz and a host of guests lent their services to the project. Among the artists making appearances are Freeway, Young Buck, Jacka, Yung La, Stormey, as well as many more. You can download Killuminati 2K10 from the Outlawz website starting this Halloween.
Kandi, a former member of multiplatinum ’90s R&B group Xscape and an award winning songwriter in her own right, is gearing up to release her sophomore album, Kandi Koated. That album is scheduled to drop this fall but Kandi is keeping busy until then. The record’s first single, the Jazze Phae-produced “Leave U”, was released this month. In addition to that the singer is about to embark on a 30-date, national tour with American Idol winner Fantasia and Eric Benet.
DMX’s wife, Tashera Simmon’s, has just founded the Women of Strength Foundation. The organization will dedicate its efforts to helping women and children who have been affected by sexual abuse, drug abuse, and domestic violence and other societal injustices. The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star is hosting an event to celebrate the launch of the Foundation to be held Tuesday, October 26th at Taj Lounge in New York City. Deejays Doo Wop and DJ Wiz are scheduled to spin with more performers and appearances scheduled to be announced.
