New Album From Big L Coming Soon

Return Of The Devils Son marks the first posthumous release from Big L in 10 years. Much like The Big Picture, Return Of The Devils Son features mostly previously unreleased material and production from his D.I.T.C. brethren. The LP will be the last from L, as this is said to empty out his vaults.

The album, which takes its names from L’s infamous debut 12″ “Devil’s Son,” will drop on November 16 via SMC Recordings.

    1. Its good to hear unreleased music from Big L….I just hope its his music that is actually unreleased…I already heard “DangerZone” J-Love mix and “Once Again” on here as well as others through European distributed Big L cd’s(Germany)….

    2. I haven’t heard the material. If it is quality and what it was meant to be, great. IF it was thrown together and no one in his family has authorized or benefits I think it’s pointless. Does DITC even back this?

    3. i think it should be brought out. there is no point in a rap legend like Big L making music then keeping it from everybody that wants to hear it. im all for the album but it has to be released the way it was made cos then it would be pointless to bring it out. R.I.P Big L

    4. unless it was made as an album from big l it is a risk just putting together previously unreleased material, its unreleased fora reason, and if they aint doing it proper with the eminem feature and nas feature and jay co sign then i duno, but having said that anyhting will be good to ehar from this guy who had great possibilities

    5. Glad to have some new material from the kid, even if its not his finest work, I’m still willing to bet that

Unreleased Big L Tracks >>>>> 90% of whats out

    6. “Are you happy to have more Big L material or do you feel his legacy should be left alone?”

…shoot yourself in the fucking mouth for even thinking that. Go listen to more Drake you corn lol.

    7. BIG L! Fucking hell, been waiting on some more Big L material for years. Best lyricist ever.

Rest in peace, your legacy will live on forever.

    8. I think they could have split this disc into 2 different albums to extended Big L’s presence in hip-hop.

No one drops cd’s with 20+ songs anymore.

Guess DITC is still Diggin In The Crates….

      1. Pfff…you should be glad they’re putting 21 tracks on this album. They shouldn’t drag it out just get it done.

    9. the reason no new album been out all this years is cuz big l mother died and the guy who would get all this money is the deadbeat father …the guy who came back for the money
i think one of ditc´s member said it in an interview that he would leak everything before giving a dollar to L´s father

    10. Seems kinda shoddily put together. And I though Lord Finesse said no more. What made The Big Picture great were the guests, and this LP seems to be lacking them

    11. All of these are songs that were done b4 he died they just never were officially on an album just mixtapes… dont matter tho cuz all the shit is crack big l greatest of all time

    12. IS THAT EVEN A QUESTION!!!! WHAT KIND OF DUMBASS WOULD NOT WANT MORE BIG L???!!! As long as its done right. Authentic east coast ill hip hop beats. no wack southern trash or try to make him into something he’s not. BUT THE MORE BIG L THE BETTER! SOMEONE HAS TO SAVE THE EAST COAST. WHO BETTER THAN ONE OF THE BEST LYRICISTS OF ALL TIME…….

    13. As long as his mic is loud and his production is tight!!! HAHA I can never get enough Big L, Does anyone know whats the deal with the album that dropped a few weeks ago? I cant find it anywhere and I heard its not unrealeased material. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

    14. yea this is okay, their not milking the shit out of him unlike the biggie duets, these are unreleased joints done by producers who worked with him before his untimely death, its a well deserved praise.

    15. his homie said a coupla weeks back that he wasnt gonna release any unreleased music cuz he didnt want for big l’s pops to recieve any of the money, the writer shoul of wrote something about that

    16. This sounds a bit suss to me. It sounds like it will have reused verses on it. Just look at the title “Zone of Danger”, when one of L’s best tracks is “Danger Zone”… fuck that.

      1. nah man, i dont see it, with all that shit they been droppin on us latley with the blatant re-using and re-choppig of tracks, they didn’t even change names, see the archives 1996-2000 and 139 and lenox. these releases were shit and were using the same 12 verses and tracks over and over. the fact that this has 12″ records they haven’t released on cd yet is enough for me. some new big l is better than fake or no new big l. and yo person who guys by the name of the roots last boring shitty lp that made me finished with buying roots cds, i’ll bet you twenty bucks that zone of danger is an all original banger track

    17. WOW i was sooo excited when i saw this link. Big L has been a huge inspiration and i consider him better the 2pac. All tjose in doubt listen to
      “street Struck”
      “I Don’t understand It”
      “Fall BAck”
      “Flamboyant”
      “Deadly Combination”
      “The Heist”

      Theres your proof right there

    18. yea yall bout to be mad at me but uhmmm FUCK BIG L..ol satanic ass nigga blasphemy callin his seld tha devils son only an um humble heart towards God could speak such things ive listened to big L nigga is 1 of the sickest lyricist ever but fuck him and his death lmaoooo callin his self the devils son and shit danger zone song he says all kinda raw shit think God a joke if u want too..God dont play dat shit and fuck yall for not liking this comment 2

      1. boy all u can say is ur dumb after what i said nigga you woulda did better to just not say nothing go eat a dick nigga..lmao

      2. Yep…YOU ARE DUMB. BTW God doesn’t and never has exsisted and if he did i don’t think he’d be too impressed with your language young man.

      3. ^ haha funny how people think a god don’t exist tho.. There is a one true god. He just doesn’t exist how people think. The god that’s talked about in the bible aint the one true god. just a sub god who initially abused his power.. I knows my shitttttttttttttt

    19. Whether released or unreleased, Big L is one of the best rapper ever. PERIOD. Flamboyant! Put ya L’s up!

    20. what happened to the article DX posted a couple months ago saying we pretty much will never see another big l album?

    21. I had a feeling this was going to happen despite Lord Finesse’s interview some time ago.

Anyway, Big L was most definitely one of the greatest to touch a mic. “Lifestylez…” is sick, I still play that album. “Big Picture” was nice too. I’m going to check this one out. Hopefully, the material is unreleased like it said and not like “Biggie Duets” where they remix verses we’ve already heard. RIP Big L!
