After releasing several exclusive tracks as part of his G.O.O.D. Fridays series, Kanye West isn’t sure when he will release his fifth album. And while the titles, Good Ass Job and Dark Twisted Fantasy have been thrown around, there is still no official title for the album. Earlier in the week, Rap-Up.com reported Kanye was targeting November 22 as a release date, but West took to Twitter to clarify the matter, saying he’s still undecided.

I’m still contemplating my album date… I’m finished with it but when should I drop?less than a minute ago via web

A November 22 date would have placed West right on the cusp of “Black Friday,” the largest consumer shopping day in America.

To date, West has logged studio time with Jay-Z, Mos Def, Swizz Beatz, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, M.I.A., John Legend and a host of other artists. According to some reports, over $3 million has been spent on the album, including a 40 minute accompanying short film, which was shot in Prague. Additionally, no information has been given on how the album’s proposed release date would impact the five-song collaborative EP West is planning to release with Jay-Z.

As labels ramp up promotions to increase their fourth quarter sales, West will still likely find himself vying for additional shelf space along recent collaborators Nicki Minaj and Lloyd Banks (who both plan to release albums on November 23), unless he decides to wait until 2011, which seems unlikely.
