EA Sports announced on Monday that both J. Cole and 9th Wonder would be appearing on the soundtrack to video game NBA Elite 11. Acclaimed producer 9th Wonder will produce the entire soundtrack while the Roc Nation newcomer appears on the track “The Plan.”
“As a big sports video game fan, it’s an honor to be a part of EA Sports NBA Elite 2011,” said J. Cole in a statement. “I thank EA for trusting in me to create the game’s main song. I truly enjoyed the experience.”
This will be the first time EA Sports’ NBA franchise presents a custom soundtrack involving only two artists. The game will be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on Oct. 5.
