Kanye West Plans 40-Minute Film Companion To “Runaway”

Kanye West spent time in the Czech Republic city of Prague last month, and revealed to his Twitter followers, that he was shooting videos. As it now turns out, the G.O.O.D Music head was indeed working on a 40-minute visual companion to his recently-premiered “Runaway”

The song, assisted by Clipse’s Pusha T, was performed live at Sunday’s 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. Explaining the video to New York Magazine‘s Fug Girls, West revealed, “It’s the story of a phoenix fallen to Earth, and I make her my girlfriend, and people discriminate against her and eventually she has to burn herself alive and go back to her world. I’ve been feeling the idea of the phoenix. It’s been in my heart for a while. It’s maybe parallel to my career. I threw a Molotov cocktail on my career last year, in a way, and I had to come back as a better person.”

The decadent emcee/producer also revealed that he wishes to edit the short feature film by boat.

Additionally, Kanye West will appear on the October cover of XXL magazine, with an interview inside.

      1. @32 LVLS

even if Kanye was gay, he still provides good music. what’s the problem? you must be (1st choice) gay yourself and not out of the closet, or (2nd choice) 8 years old, to write comments like that. and what about cam’ron & jim jones, diplomats is dead since 2004.

    1. I like the song and everything, but Kanye’s on some other shit with these videos. I mean 40minutes? A relationship with a phoenix? Why don’t you just go and write a novel Kanye…

    2. I know that Kanye West likes to order gay escorts when he is out in Hollywood. Him and 17 other rappers al use the same place under fake names. They like to get them to give them head. real talk.
