Last night marked the first of Eminem and Jay-Z’s two sold-out performances at Yankees Stadium in the Bronx. Th performance was a star-studded event that found Hip Hop’s two reigning titans sharing the stage with a plethora of guest artists.

Eminem added to Jay’s elation, saying, “Do not think that I don’t know where I’m at right now. I’m also honored to be on this fuckin’ stage in the Bronx, the fuckin’ birthplace of Hip Hop.” (Wall Street Journal

Roc Nation up-and-comer J. Cole opened up the show, with Em following shortly after. The Detroit rapper performed his current smash-hits “Love the Way You Lie” and “Not Afraid” and a number of classics tracks from his discography, including “Lose Yourself,” “Cleaning Out My Closet” and “Without Me”. Em also brought to the stage a number of guests, including D12, 50 Cent, B.o.B and his mentor Dr. Dre.

Not to be outdone, Jay-Z’s set found the Brooklyn emcee banging out hits like “99 Problems” and “Hard Knock Life” much to the concert goers’ approval. Jay also brought out a number of his friends, including Swizz Beatz, Drake, Chris Martin from Coldplay, Beyonce and of course, Eminem, who joined Jay in performing their classic cut off The Blueprint “Renegade”.

One of the most talked about guest performances came from Kanye West, who performed the remix to his hit single “Power” along side his big brother. Nicki Minaj also joined the two artists on stage to perform their much talked about collaboration “Monster.”
