After recently joining Polow da Don’s Zone 4 family with Interscope Records, singer Lloyd will debut his first single with the label entitled “Lay It Down” today (August 16).
The Polow da Don-produced track will be the first song off of his fourth studio album, King Of Hearts, which has a scheduled release for early 2011.
Though Lloyd was featured on last year’s Young Money hit “Bed Rock”, the New Orleans native has not released an album since his 2008 Lessons In Love.

In a recent statement with Interscope Records, it is evident that Lloyd has found a comfortable home with Zone 4/Interscope. “It feels good to start fresh withPolow and Interscope, making music is fun again. We took my sound to another level with ‘Lay It Down,’ commented Lloyd in a statement. Polow added, “This is real music, real singing, classic.”
