As a member of The Click, Suga-T spit game-tight lyrics alongside biological brothers E-40 and D-Shot, along with cousin B-Legit. The former Jive Records artist has also been releasing solo albums dating back 17 years ago. She even struck a platinum single, courtesy of her brother’s ’90s hit “Sprinkle Me.” After devoting the last four years to her fragrance line (Suga-T) and Be About It organization, the Stevens sister returns to Rap with a new mixtape.
The Return of Suga: The Best Is Yet To Come is due Monday, August 2. The mixtape, hosted by DJ Jack Da Rippa finds the Bay Area veteran reclaiming her place as a female pioneer in Rap dating back the ’80s. The work will be a set-up for Suga’s upcoming album The Game Needs Me, due late 2010/early 2011.
