Next month the World Beatbox Association will be holding its first annual American Beatbox Championship in Brooklyn, New York.
The competition will be judged by A Tribe Called Quest member Jarobi White, Kenny Muhammad aka “The Human Orchestra” and renowned beatboxer Chesney Snow. With eight contestants qualifying for the final round, they will be competing for over $3,000 in cash and equipment prizes. The American Beatbox Championship coincides with a two-day event put on by the WBA, which also includes live performances, afternoon workshops and a panel discussion on beatboxing.
