UPDATE: Boosie has denied the severe allegations against him while speaking to reporters.
“I’m innocent. I’m completely innocent,” said Boosie, who was en route to East Baton Rouge jail.
At least five other murders are being investigated in connection with the rapper. “We’re investigating the others in a similar fashion,” said District Attorney Hillar Moore. “We are investigating the common pattern of these killings and money.”
Additional charges against Boosie included three counts of possession with intent to distribute narcotics, as the result of allegations that he smuggled marijuana, codeine and ecstasy while being held at Dixon Hills Correctional Facility for a probation violation.
Joshua Wilson, 27, a former correctional officer at the prison, and ]Boosie’s girlfriend, Walnita Decuir, 25 and another inmate were also charged in the smuggling allegations.
The troubles don’t end there for Lil Boosie, as the some of the rapper’s lyrics are now under investigation for appearing to threaten Moore.
“Fuck the D.A. and the prosecutors they all devils / Talk that smack we get you back / We all rebels,” raps Boosie on “Fuck ‘Em All.”
“Fuck the D.A. and the lawyers / Your racist ass is going to hell / You’ll probably be dead when I come out of jail ya old bitch / Your dick can’t even get hard no more, bitch you need to die / And the prosecutor’s gay / I see that from a mile away,” says Boosie later on the song.
When asked about the lyrics on Channel 2 News, Moore responded, “I’ve read what he said, I’ve never listened to it. I can’t be deterred; I think it’s part of my job. I guess he has the right to say whatever he wants to say.” (June 21)
UPDATE #2: Yesterday, June 28, Lil Boosie entered a not-guilty plea in a Louisiana court room. The rapper did so, during what’s been reported as a two-minute hearing. While Boosie’s defense addressed the fact that the Warner Brothers/Asylum/Trill rapper has several ongoing cases, they emphasized that he is not a murderer.
