Video game publisher Activision has announced today that this year’s line-up of titles will feature a wide variety of some of today’s most respected musicians from a myriad genres of music. The company is excited be able to couple an intense gaming experience with an equally powerful soundtrack as well.

“Activision’s fall titles are set to give gamers an unparalleled musical experience,” said CEO of Activision Blizzard Bobby Kotick. “We have assembled an exceptionally talented roster of artists, many of whom have created exclusive or originally recorded tracks for our games.  We are sure our titles will offer a variety of tracks that will appeal to our wide consumer base and delight the most passionate music and gaming fans.”

Fans can expect Eminem to contribute a track off his upcoming Recovery to the soundtrack of Call of Duty: Black Ops, while Usher’s “OMG” get a spin in DJ Hero 2. In addition, super-producer Pharrell will headline True Crime: Hong Kong‘s soundtrack and seminal rock group Soundgarden will provide Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock with an unreleased cut called “Black Rain.”
