In a recent interview with SOHH, singer/songwriter/producer Sean Garrett talked about his impending deal with Cash Money/Young Money Records. Garrett expressed his excitement about signing with the New Orleans powerhouse, saying “…the ink is almost dry.”
“It’s very, very, very close man,” Garrett said. “You gotta understand, I already got money, Cash Money has much, much, much money. Young Money also has much, much money. Oh and ‘Free Weezy,’ you know what I’m saying? It’s just, we had to make sure that, well, there’s a lot that’s coming together there. And I really have a lot of respect and honor the way that system was built so we just had to make sure that everything was a go but from all aspects and you know, I’m excited. It’s gonna be tremendous but the ink is almost dry.”
Garrett’s signing with the label has been long hinted at in interviews and after his recent work with Nicki Minaj on her single “Massive Attack.” He also recently enlisted Minaj for the debut single “Get It All.”
