Details regarding Def Jam Rapstar, the recently-released interactive video game in a similar vein as DJ Hero and Rock Band, came to light recently when it was stated that DJ Premier and Just Blaze provided exclusive beats for the game.
Additional news about the game were the revelation of seven confirmed songs for the game, which is a collaborative effort between Def Jam Interactive and 4mm Games: Biz Markie’s “Just a Friend,” Ice Cube’s “It Was A Good Day,” OutKast’s “So Fresh and So Clean,” Pete Rock and CL Smooth’s “T.R.O.Y,” Method Man and Redman’s “Da Rocwilder,” Salt-N-Peppa’s “Push It” and Drake’s “Best I Ever Had.”
The game allows fans to sing along to Hip Hop songs, as well as record and upload their own performances online.
Def Jam Rapstar was released on October 5, for the Xbox 360 for $69.99, and for PlayStation 3 and Wii for $59.99.
