Five Finalists For Unsigned Hype Contest

Giving aspiring artists a chance to join the ranks of Biggie, Shells and other successful unsigned hype, The Source Magazine, Reebok and Interscope Records joined together to create this years unsigned hype contest.

This year’s unsigned hype finalists have been narrowed down to five contestants, four of who are men and one woman holding it down for the females. Each contestant had to record a demo or song speaking about Reebok products or Reebok athlete.

The winner will be chosen during a press conference in New York on August 15th. On August 16th Reebok will put a picture of the winner on their website as well as an interview with The Source Editor Jonathan Bonanno. The winner will receive an endorsement deal from Reebok, a trip to the 2002 Source Awards (including airfare, hotel accommodations and VIP status at the afterparty), a cameo in an Interscope music video and much more.
