Never afraid of teaming up with colleagues, Murs has recently partnered with Isaiah Toothtaker. After working with everyone from his Living Legend brothers to Slug and 9th Wonder, Murs has added this new partnership to his 2010 plan in order to release podcasts through Werd2Murs.com.
Werd2Murs podcasts weave through various topics, not always pertinent to music, that showcase Toothtaker and Murs speaking their minds. In addition to the audio of the two speaking, there are a few videos up of the two. The site also features a couple of free downloads for their fans. Murs’ Sweet Lord is available on the site and so is Toothtaker’s Yiggy.
In the long run, this site also holds Murs fans off until the release of his highly anticipated March release ForNever, the latest project from him and 9th Wonder, which Murs has spoken to us about in the past. Aside from this release, Murs has been excited about the new Paid Dues line-up, which is expanding to a line-up that will feature two different stages, something that hasn’t been done in the history of Paid Dues.
The bill, which we first announced more than a week ago, will feature Ice Cube, Raekwon, Jay Electronica, Murs, Tha Dogg Pound, Necro, Psycho Realm, People Under the Stairs, Dilated Peoples, Del the Funkyhomosapien, Freeway & Jake One, R.A. The Rugged Man, Doomtree, and many more. Also, the Freestyle Fellowship will perform for the first time in over ten years at Paid Dues, which will take April 3, 2010 in San Bernardino, California.
