A day before Super Bowl XLIV, Long Beach rapper Snoop Dogg will be holding his eighth annual “Snoop Bowl” in Miami.

His Snoop Dogg All Stars football team will be matching up against the Florida All Stars team coached by Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter and Buffalo Bills wide receiver Terrell Owens. Last year, Snoop’s team defeated the Tampa All Stars team coached by former Buccaneers fullback Mike Alstott.

“I am happy that we’ve been doing this event for eight years–the kids love it and I do too,” Snoop Dogg said. “The future NFL stars play in this game annually and its fun to watch the kids imitate their favorite NFL stars. The Snoop Bowl is as big as the Super Bowl to every kid playing organized football in the USA because they aspire to play against my team or to be coached by Coach Snoop ‘The Great.’”

“Snoop Bowl” will be played at Traz Powell Stadium. Tickets for the game are $10 for children under 12, $20 for people 13 and up. They can be purchased at ticketalternative.com. All proceeds from the event will go to charity.
