Clearing up misleading information generated through online rumors, Lupe Fiasco took to his blog to set the record straight about his next album, as well as his latest mixtape Enemy Of The State.

While confirming the title of his new album is indeed Lasers, he stated it currently has no release date set. He also made it clear that the single “Solar Midnite,” which first appeared on the soundtrack for Twilight: New Moon will not be included on Lasers.

Turning to his mixtape, which he said was created in about a day, Lupe explained, “Enemy Of The State was NOT, NOT, NOT meant to be an album…so stop (to the ungrateful among you) TREATING it like one. Enemy Of The State was short for a reason…I DONT LIKE TO WASTE SONGS…AND IT SHOULDN’T TAKE YOU THAT LONG TO PROVE YOUR NICE IF YOUR ‘REALLY’ NICE.”
